Glasgow Necropolis Visit

Hey everybody! Sorry for the patchy posting, I've been settling into my routine here at the University of Glasgow and trying to get re-acquainted with Scotland so I haven't had much time to post. You know what I have had time to do, though? Tour cemeteries. Ch'yeah.

Some of you might remember an old post I did on Glasgow Necropolis as a dream Goth meet up. Well, I didn't have a meet up but I did go there recently and it was absolutely stunning. I didn't wear anything special (the same skinny jeans that I wore in this post with a black v-neck) so there are no cool outfit pictures, but the cemetery shots are worth sharing on their own I think.

If you want to see the full 50 image set I took there, check out my study abroad blog here!

I can't wait to go back!

Have any of you been to cemeteries recently? Which ones?

  3. I love this pics, great job!! Wish I could go and see this one.

I recently visited the Lower Lake Cemetery in Lower Lake, CA. It's not a big fancy one, but it IS one of the oldest cemeteries in California. My grandmother is buried there, but I couldn't find her! I'm going up again soon, hopefully with a camera, so I'll be posting on that ASAP.

  5. Good grief, I want to see this. I've seen the Cimitero Monumentale in Milan (needs at least two days, if you go); and the Staglieno in Genoa; and just spent two weeks in Wales seeing . . . lots of small rural cemeteries and the sarcophagi of Llewellyn the Great and Joan of Wales. And apparently I need to figure out how to swing a trip to Scotland, too.

  6. I went there a while back (last November) and posted about it on my blog here: http://domesticatedgoth.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/glasgow-travels-part-2.html I really need to go back there and take more photos! I went there in ridiculous boots and the weather was rainy and I didn't get many good photographs, only 2 really... Yours are far snazzier! I especially like the last two you took :)
