Shallow Wants: Tragus Jewelry

This past Tuesday I took the plunge and got pierced for the first time in over seven years. My last piercing experience (secondary lobes) was a terrible time and I don't even have the piercings to go with them now, as I had to let them close up. Suffice to say, I was a bit nervous, but I actually had a great time and came out with a nifty black stud in my tragus.

Now, I'm looking forward to another three to four months of healing before I can swap out my jewelry, but that doesn't mean I haven't started looking. Here are my favorite pieces that I've found so far:

What were your last piercings? How long ago did you get them?

  1. My last piercing was my left nostril, now I have double nostril piercings :) (one on each side).
Usually I have fun studs in my nose (stars, skulls, rainbow flowers) but something about this pregnancy is making the piercing on the right side a bit sensitive so I'm sticking with basic steel hoops in both sides right now.

  2. I just got my septum in August. (to replace my lip ring). I've heard great things about the bioplast tragus earrings, btw. I've got a bioplast barbell in my industrial and its so comfortable.

    1. I'm excited to try it out, I'm not exactly allergic to metal but I like the idea of being able to trim the earring to make it fit better.

  3. I have bad luck when it comes to piercings. When I got my 4th lobes done they went a bit wrong and I had to let the right close up. I've since tried re-piercing it but it was too low - felt like my lobe would tear right through if I wore heavy earrings - so I'm letting it close up again. Eventually I will re-do it. Next on my list though is my septum and eventually I want about 6 earrings going up each ear :D After that I'll probably stick with tattoos as I like my piercings to be even on each side. I'd quite like lip piercings but I have really thin, sensitive gums so it's a bad idea for me.

    1. I love how lip piercings look, alas it's unlikely I'll ever get them. Silly corporate future. Sigh.

  4. Neat! I also have a tragus piercing. I'm having more trouble with it than some of the others--wishing you the best of luck with yours!

  5. In the event that you are not happy with the sterile procedure of the individual doing the penetrating at that point don't enable them to continue. connexionrepublics
