World Goth Day Playlist

For the uninitiated, May 22nd is World Goth Day, a day to celebrate the subculture that some of us take for granted throughout the year. Personally, I'm celebrating the day by wearing all black and complaining about the fact that it is ninety degrees outside. However, to someone who isn't miserably overheated and also quarantined for being illness, I hope you all find a way to celebrate in a more fun way.

Here's a playlist to rock out to, whether you're stuck at home melting or out and out doing productive people things.

Happy World Goth Day!

  1. I wouldn't worry - my world goth day was spent holed up in my room unpacking university stuff and fretting about my exam results coming out. Still, it was all done wearing black lipstick while listening to some stereotypical gothic rock.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  2. Happy World Goth Day to you, too! I can't believe I wasn't aware about this until.. today (I'm such a bad goth XP) I wore all black as usual out under the heavy sun haha & went to class :P Perhaps next year we should arrange something :) Great playlist by the way! (Peter Murphy, Bauhaus, Siouxsie, The Cure & the works!)

    1. I'd love to actually do something with other Goths on World Goth Day. Methinks it might be time to start planning more meetups.

  4. I would love to have an event or a meeting to go to on this day but there is nothing happening around my area. I curled up in the sofa feeling weird and dizzy and watched some paranormal investigation series and drank some absinthe. Thanks for the playlist :)

    1. No problem! There will be many more World Goth Days, happily, so hopefully events are in all of our futures!

Although it's not World Goth Day anymore, I will be celebrating a bit late, since I spent yesterday in school and at work. :P
